Dear Santa,

Christmas, Christmas

I have been working on Soda Santas.
I just recently put them on Etsy
which I have not figured how to put my page from Etsy on
my blog. I will be working on it, so you can see the rest of
the Soda Santas.

I gave these a little touch of Mary Engelbreit look.

Bloom Where You're Planted

Mary Engelbreit.... I just love everything she does.
In one of her craft books, it has a sign for the garden that
says, "Bloom where you are planted."

I recreated it with a few extra goodies on it. Where I planted it, it is almost covered by hollyhocks.

The below picture is what it looked like when I first painted it
and put it out in my flower bed.
I used outdoor paints, and it still looks good
after all the watering I have done in that flower bed.
Add a little Mary Engelbreit to your garden.
I'm posting this link over to Cherry Chick for M.E. Mondays.

"Come fly with me"

Come fly with me...
I decided I wanted to draw a birdcage. I looked
some example up on the web and after
looking at a few, I created this one for myself.
I'm so proud of it. I added the little bird. Can't
have a bird cage with out a bird...
At least he isn't caged!!!!

I've been painting

Painting...painting...painting
I'm very busy painting.
I made the above sign for my dearest friend, Robin.

Amazing Grace... how sweet the sound. I just love
the turquoise color. Very Shabby Chic...Don't you think?

I have a total of 3 doors left to paint. However, my sister has more in her garage.
So I more to paint.

A touch of turquoise

I made this sign tonight. I wrote the words first and then
painted the flowers. I think I should have painted them first
and then the words. You live and you learn.

I'm really proud of the flowers though...

This is my attempt at a homemade card....

Crocheted Flowers

Here is my attempted at some crocheted flowers. I went onto YouTube and found a video
that showed me how. I remember a long time ago, my family was camping in Red River, NM, and
we meet a lady that taught us how to crochet a butterfly and cat.
My mom and I made a bunch. We glued magnets on the back of them
so that they could go on the frig. So since I had crocheted way back then, I thought I could
make a few flowers. So here they are.... Not the greatest, but they are getting better
with each one.

Happy Trails to my Blogger friends,

Another painted cabinet door

Here I am again painting on another cabinet door that my sister gave me.
I painted it for my friend's mother. She was
married to her husband in 1970. 3 years before I was born.

Here is my sweet Mollie with her pipe cleaner guy. He got
some googly eyes, but not until after this picture was taken.

My son, Bryce, was so lucky that his sweet Nanny bought him
this new mountain bike. "I didn't even ask for it, Mom!" says Bryce.
Now is he lucky or what. She loves him!!!!!
Don't forget about my giveaway!!!!

I watched a Black and White movie... Oh My!!!!!!!

My dear blogger friends... you are rubbing off
on me with this vintage crafts. I am falling in love
with it.
When I was young, my father loved watching westerns. But I couldn't
stand it when he watched a movie in black and white. That was
for old people. However, the other day my husband set the DVR to
record Red River. He didn't know it was in black and white. He just
knew it was a John Wayne movie, and he thought he would watch it.
Well, to our surprise, it was a black and white. We watched the whole thing!!!
It wasn't a bad movie. John Wayne played a different character than most of his films.
(How would I know that because I haven't watch that many of his movies....)
Not only do I like black and white movies......
I love black and white photos even more....
I'm branching out these days..

Mary Engelbreit Apron Swap

They are finally finished!!! The Mary Engelbreit Apron Swap over at Rick-Rack and Gingham is done. My first swap...They will be ready for the mail on Tuesday because I don't think the post office will be opened tomorrow.

I can't wait to get everyone's aprons. By the way, I am to thank Always Home for the look of these aprons. She was the original one to come up with the look of this apron. I saw the ones she had made for a swap over at Creative Breathing. I just loved them. So here is my version of them.

I am linking up to Cherry Chick for ME Mondays with my ME Aprons.
