I finally have something to add !!!!

With teaching school, taking kids to soccer practice, coaching Jr. High cheerleaders, and watching my son playing football, I have little time for my crafts.

Crafting gives a sense of peace. Doing your own thing, creating your own world.

This is what I got to do one evening when I had a spare 30 minutes.

Before school started, I was asked to paint a old chalk board in our teacher's lounge. So of course, I said yes. At the time I thought I was crazy. I was spending more time in there painting than getting my classroom ready. However, everything came together as usual. I'm glad I did it. It turned out great. My inspiration came from a Mary Engelbreit teacher's planning book.

My son participated in a food show for 4H today. We were to bring a gift for the four judges. At the last minute, I purchased 4 jars from Wally World. I cut some of my scrapbook paper and glued it on. Threw on a few embellishments and it was done. Added some candy and I think it turned out pretty good.

I am joining ME Monday over at Cherry Chick... check it out here!!!

I LOVE YOUR CHALKBOARD PAINTING!!!! I have M.E. stuff hanging on the walls in my room, too. The kids like it so much. You did such a great job with you painting. My son came to my room years ago and did a Degas chalk drawing on the blackboard. I sprayed it with fixative so it would not come off. It stayed there for years and years.g
